When and Where to Plant- Start indoors or direct sow, taking extra care if transplanting seedlings. Add compost in an area that is well draining as zinnias are susceptible to mildew.

Care and Harvest- Pinch plants when young to encourage longer stems. Water regularly at the base of the plant. Harvest as flower just begins to open to use as a cut flower.
